Joshua is a character I created that may appear in a future episode of my Father Gabriel Orthodox Christian web comic. Joshua is a little boy who always has the Jesus Prayer in his heart, whether in good times or difficult times.
My goal for this Orthodox Christian cartoon was to create something very simple for little children, to teach them how important and helpful prayer is to their life, how prayer will always comfort them whether they are at home or school.
For this cartoon, I drew a series of drawings (on my smartphone), and created very simple movements using a software called Adobe After Effects. The reason I didn’t use 3D animation for the cartoon was simply because it usually takes me 6 months to create something like Father Gabriel’s Prayer, where for this cartoon I wanted something quick and simple to teach children about the importance of prayer.
This music I used for this animation was from the Chants of the Russian Orthodox Church.
