I created George the Homeless a few months ago in order to introduce a few new characters in my next episode of Father Gabriel. George was meant to appear as an old man who has been homeless for three decades, who lived a very difficult and miserable life on the streets. No one cared about him, no one helped him and no one acknowledged hime…until he met Father Gabriel.
George the Homeless also appears in a comic strip with Father Gabriel, check in out here.
Like Father Gabriel, we must all give a helping hand to the homeless and needy. Whatever we can give them, whether if it’s some spare change, food or even a friendly smile, makes a difference in their lives.
Not to share our own wealth with the poor is theft from the poor and deprivation of their means of life; we do not possess our own wealth, but theirs. ~Saint John Chrysostom
Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble. ~Psalm 41
